smiljana šafarić: Smiljana Shafarich was born in 1973, in Čakovac, Croatia. 1999: Completed academic painting in the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, Croatia. 1999: received an outstanding achievement for her graduate work in video from the Academy Award. From 1998-1999 was a guest student at the School of Visual Communication Fachhochschule Würzburg Germany where she started artistic research in the field of graphic design, photography and video editing.She has actively exhibited at home and abroad,organizes and manages art workshops and projects, working with artist in a number of mediums including painting, digital prints, video installations and art pedagogy. She has won several awards for multimedia and children's art work.
